Project Overview

EPFA will  work with UEFA through the Football for All portfolio, to deliver a 4 year plan to provide opportunities for those with a high level of physical disability to access the game of powerchair football.

Project Objectives

  1. Increase the number of countries within Europe that practice powerchair football.
  2. Increase the number of players participating in Powerchair Football across Europe.
  3. Provide international competition for all affiliated NOPF’s.
  4. Ensure NOPF’s are sustainable and receive the support required.
  5. Raise the profile of powerchair football across Europe.

UEFA's role

The support and funding from UEFA will help us to introduce new nations to powerchair football, providing them with the initial guidance and support they need to begin their journey. It will also enable existing nations to strengthen their level of provision through the deployment of workforce development and building competitive opportunities.

EPFA realises the importance of providing training a knowledge to help NOPF’s grow and deliver high quality provision. 

  • Provide education programmes to support the recruitment and training of coaches. 
  • Provide Match Official training and support Referee progression. 
  • Provide Classification training and support.

EPFA is responsible for the implementation and delivery of a competition structure across Europe.


  • Provide international competition for all affiliated NOPF’s.
  • Provide a European club team event to allow elite level club competition.

It is vital for EPFA to support the NOPF’s to build a sustainable and “fit for purpose” organisation. 


  • Ensure NOPF’s are sustainable and receive the support required.

  • Act as the FIPFA Zone organisation. 
  • Raise the profile of powerchair football across Europe. 
  • EPFA must complete all its constitutional requirements.
